is the World’s oldest Lions Club. Now almost 97 years young, It's roll of members reads like a Who’s Who of San Antonio and Lionism. Chartered in 1915 as the “Royal Order of Lions”, the San Antonio Founder Lions Club served initially as a “Business men’s club.” Then, in 1917 it became one of 23 clubs, from Illinois to Texas, to join the nucleus of what we know of today as Lions International.
