Founder Lions Club Fundraising
At-a-Glance!

Founder Lions Club members and friends gather at the annual Fiesta San Antonio Parade. The Founder Lions have the best parade seats in town, a two day event that nets the club almost $10,000 each year for charity.
Lion District Governor Warren Weir is presenting a check to Lion President Mike Gonzales in grateful appreciation for the support the Founder Lions Club provided to him during his tenure as District Governor.
Lion Jerry and Barbara Cowan and Lion Mary Thomas along with Members of the Founder Lions and their friends converged at the “Fish City Grill” in San Antonio as part of an opportunity to receive for Charity a percent of the proceeds from the entire day’s sales.
Lions just want to have fun. Lion Tail-twister Arthur Browne contemplates his title and the Lion guards his tail, all to the pleasure of the 2006 Fiesta Crowd. To the right, it’s not all fun. Lion Arthur once again is center stage as the work to setup and tear-down before and after each parade.
Lion President Mike Gonzales receives a check from Lion Stacy Gonzalez, here representing Allstate Insurance, upon their donation of funds to the Lion Chuck Picciuti memorial fund. Proceeds from such contributions are donated to the Texas Lions Camp and will be applied toward a new Pavilion to be named in honor of Lions Chuck.
Lion Gary Morrison inspects a telescope at the Tower of the Americas. Each week, Lion Gary services the scopes from which the proceeds are shared evenly with the Tower owners and the Founder Lions Charity Fund.
Lion Jerry Cowan, with Lions Ken Crowder, Dick Porter and Glen Hartman received and account for several thousand poinsettias during the annual December Poinsettia Project. Founder Lions sell and deliver plants all over San Antonio, a key project that helps to support our Charity. On the right, Lion Dick Porter appears to have lost count...again (but, then again, who's counting?).
It’s Garage Sale time again and Lion Brenda Smith, as usual, has the situation well in hand. Each year the Founder Lions and their closest friends conduct a membership fund raiser in support of the Club’s activities. Not only is much fun had by all, but think of all the space we free up!
